John Kirk - Grade 9 and 12 Biology Teachers

This website has some amazing animations, and can be used for science from grades 9 - 12. The animations range from the structure of DNA, amino acids, proteins, and the processes of replication, transcription and translation for the grade 12 biology teacher, to traditional mitosis and meiosis animations for the grade 9 teacher. The author, John Kyrk, uses atomic models similar to the space filler model, but he cuts down on the size of the Van der Waals radii by 1/3, which allows the student to better make out the individual atoms involved.
An excellent, and and very visually appealing website.
